Responsibilities:
– Oversee day-to-day operations of the Children’s Home
– Manage house budget and resources efficiently
– Develop staff professionally and support young people in placement
– Ensure high-quality care, welfare, safety, and security
– Maintain compliance with regulations and policies
– Represent the organisation at various forums
Requirements:
– 21 years of age or older
– Experience in a senior role in children’s residential care
– Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Service or equivalent
– GCSE in Maths and English at C Grade or above
– Leadership and management skills
– Excellent communication and organizational abilities
– Knowledge of Child Protection, Safeguarding, and relevant regulations
– Driver’s license and ability to drive
– Additional qualifications and skills are desirable
Duties:
– Ensure compliance with regulations and policies
– Provide effective leadership and support to staff
– Implement safeguarding policies and procedures
– Work with multidisciplinary teams to support children’s needs
– Ensure a sensitive and appropriate residential service for young people
– Manage staff performance, training, and development
– Participate in on-call duties and attend meetings
– Continuously improve home documents and practices
