Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing effective support and guidance to children and young people facing mental health challenges. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the emotional well-being and mental health needs of children are met.
Key Responsibilities:
– Engage with children and young people to assess their mental health needs
– Develop individualized care plans and provide emotional support
– Implement therapeutic interventions and behavioral management techniques
– Collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals to create a holistic support network
– Maintain accurate records and progress reports
Requirements:
– Relevant experience in working with children or young people in a mental health setting
– Knowledge of child development, common mental health challenges, and therapeutic techniques
– Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with children and families
– Strong organisational and time management skills
– Level 3 Diploma in Child and Adolescent Mental Health is desirable
